Daily decoration: which of the three common sealing strips is cost-effective and easy to use?
If your door has a large crack, air leakage, no sound insulation, no insulation, and occasional small Qiang shuttling back and forth, it's time to add a sealing strip to the door. There are currently three common types of sealing strips on the market, each with its own advantages and disadvantages. Today, I will organize and analyze them for everyone.
The advantage of this type of door bottom sealing strip is that there is no adhesive backing, and it can be used when installed without difficulty. Cut the length yourself, and if it's dirty, you can take it out and wash it. If you're too lazy to wash it, it's easy to replace it with a new one. It's cheap and very affordable.
There are also drawbacks, as this structure can be seen. It is only suitable for small door seams, and if the seam is too large, it may not be tightly packed. And it keeps rubbing on the ground, and girls with a lot of hair may need to frequently come out of their rooms and wash them clean.
This type of sealing strip is glued to the bottom of the door with adhesive backing. By adjusting the position of the adhesive, it can also be used for large door seams. PVC material is more durable, with free cutting length and is also very cheap.
The disadvantage is that it is difficult to replace and may leave adhesive. You can think of it as a small broom with accumulated dust and hair, which can easily increase the resistance to opening and closing the door when stuck low.
From a daily use and cleaning perspective, it is definitely the best of the three. When the door is closed, the rubber strip automatically descends, and when the door is opened, it automatically retracts, and it will not drag and drop on the ground. After installation, the height of the descent can be adjusted, making it tighter and quieter.
The disadvantage is that the length cannot be customized and requires a tutorial for installation. The price is higher than the above two, but it is also affordable.
The above three types are all for the bottom seam of the door. If the side seam is not tight, it is recommended to buy this type of paste at the door seam ↓
